Lesson Summary

Yin therapeutics is an amazing practice for holistic healing and growth. It combines elements from yoga, meditation, emotional freedom technique (EFT) scripts and body work to help one become aware of the effects of negative imprints from thoughts, words and deeds. Through a practice of mutual respect, trust, and loving-kindness, we become connected to and harness the power of Nature. This allows us to tap into the power of the Yamas and Niyamas of Hatha Yoga, a set of Universal Truths to guide us. Tools used are Cleanliness (Ahimsa/ Sauca); Caring (Santosha); Respectful Autonomy (Aparigraha/ Tapas/Asteya); Noble Truth (Satya); Shared Power (Brahmacharya); Self Awareness and Responsibility (Svadhyaya); and Loving-kindness (Ishvarapranydhana). During YIN therapeutics practice, we journal on Cleanliness and Caring, feel into the breath, explore the body with body postures and kidney massage, use MBCY yoga nidra and MBCY Matrix breath techniques to ground, stabilize and integrate, and feel presence within before releasing worry, shock and trauma to wisdom, flow and vitality. These practices are a wonderful path to holistic transformation.
